BACKGROUND:
Gerard was the founder of G.A.P. INTERNATIONAL INC., a North American based satellite broadcasting company. After creating G.A.P., Gerard expanded that business into a global satellite television network covering North and South America, Europe and Asia. Along with those networks, Gerard also provided video content and programming, producing "live television productions" on location throughout Europe and North and South America and Asia. He has provided production and broadcast services for all the US broadcast networks and some in Europe including his own global satellite network "Gapsat".
Gerard has created, produced and managed large multi-facetted productions and events from the ground up, directly working with very high profile clients and talent from Presidents and heads of state to celebrities and corporate executives. He has produced large multi-camera video productions with over 40+ television crews, booking 47'+ tractor trailer digital & HD rigs on the east, west coasts and outside the US. Gerard has produced large single productions with video production crews simultaneously on 3 separate continents via satellite. Gerard has worked and managed television productions where his production budgets were over $100K.
Gerard is very comfortable operating on the run from his laptop, simultaneously booking multiple productions from anyplace on the globe. Gerard is experience proven and very cool under fire... International” provided the equipment and satellite broadcast services that linked the internet pipeline from Europe's Backbone to Mae West in Cupertino California. That international satellite link enabled Sun Microsystems to be able to provide all of the ground breaking internet video productions globally to provide the advances in video streaming world-wide that we all enjoy today. G.A.P. International again was a crucial part in many of these on going milestone projects with both Sun Microsystems and GTS thru to 2002.
In 2000 G.A.P. International provided "3Com" with their Global Television Satellite Network. At the time the network included two 24/7 network channels in 28 countries, on 5 continents along with the domestic satellite network across the North America. In addition to providing many domestic television productions for
3Com, Gérard and his company also provided 3Com television crews and satellite broadcast services world-wide.
Landmark Global Television Productions / The Planet Project:
On one production, Gérard and his company designed, produced and directed multiple television and satellite crews
simultaneously on three continents via; multiple satellite feeds to provide a combined live interactive
single international television production called "The Planet Project". "G.A.P. International" then re-
